This will be my second post for my blog.
For this entry I would like to talk about OBIEE, it's one of the subject I learned from Oracle Training. What is OBIEE stand for? What it do?. So OBIEE is stand for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, it is a platform that has a wide range of capabilities in delivering a report. Above are whole OBIEE 11g functionality, but I want to talk about only a few from the whole OBIEE functionality. Lets start from Interactive Dashboard, from my point of view dashboard can be said where a collection of report, graph, and others will be places. Dashboard can be interactive as it can point to page to page by clicking the link. We also can set a prompt to user for their input, example years they want to see the report from. Let see the example of Interactive Dashboard.
The user will get to see the important selected information from the dashboard. As in the example dashboard has reports consist of the graph, bar and pie chart, and table. These information can be created using a one of OBIEE functions that is report/analysis based on what information needed.
OBIEE is easier to make a report rather that than create whole SQL query. It make the selection of data become more simple as what we need just drag and drop the column from the table we need into the reports criteria. Whole process is simple as 1 2 3, yes just simple as counting.
In the report criteria also, we can filter the data by year or whatever user need. The requirement from the user can be implement as easy as it can be. From the above image, we can see the data in the table is different by color. This is also the criteria that we can set to make the data more easy to look. By easy to look, I mean we can highlight the data to red color if the data not meet the requirements.
For others functionality of OBIEE 11g, we can read it more in the Oracle website as its the knowledge center of Oracle product or just contact the EXPERT in this industry.
